Books Alive festival in Dunedin
Last week, a group of enthusiastic readers travelled to Dunedin to participate in the Books Alive festival. The students were able to attend reading and writing workshops with two shortlisted authors in the New Zealand Book Awards - Young Adults section
James Hargest College entered a Year 9 and Year 10 team into the Readers Cup this year. Both teams competed well with the Year 9 team taking out 2nd place.

National Young Leaders Day

2019 Southland Badminton Championships
Last Wednesday four JHC badminton teams took out the 2019 Southland Badminton Championships, winning first place across both Girls and Boys Divisions 1 & 2. Congrats to our trophy & medal winners.
