Funds this year are going towards refugee children. The Government has promised to match donations given during June and it is hoped that several schools will be able to be set up for children in many refugee camps.

At Hargest 30 students lived out of their back pack at school over the weekend. Several teachers visited the keen students during the day at the gym and special thanks to Miss Mitchell, Mrs Williamson and Mrs Hillas who also stayed overnight.

Students learned new card games and did a variety of sporting activities. We all looked at the blog site of an ex Hargest student who has been volunteering at the refugee camp. This was very moving. If you are interested the link is

So far about $2500 has been deposited either online or banked locally from the efforts of many Hargest students. However, there are many students who have yet to return their sponsor booklets. Students need to make a big effort to collect their sponsor money and return the money and booklets before the end of term.
