LEO Club

LEO Club

Our LEO Club seeks to support those in need in our community and beyond. The LEO Club has already raised several hundred dollars this year through bake sales and other fundraising initiatives. At the end of last term the LEO Leaders collected the mufti day coins and donated food items (pictured right: Halle Faherty donating food items to the Salvation Army food bank).
The money raised helps to support our World Vision child, Mamiko Yona who lives in Malawi, Africa.
The LEO food drive at the end of last term made a significant donation to a local food bank to support our community. Thank you to those of you who contributed to any of those fundraising efforts. It is by working together that we can make a difference.
Think about how you can support others in your classes to feel stronger and more empowered at school. Next week is Bullying Free NZ week and you are encouraged to think about the messages of the week, especially around the difference between being a bystander and being an upstander. You can make a real difference by standing up and calling someone out who is being nasty either online or in person.
The LEO Club will be selling pink accessories all week next week outside the cafe, as well as baking.
Bring along your coins to get your pink things sorted.
Next Friday we will end Bullying Free Week with Pink Shirt Day where you are encouraged to wear pink to show your support for this important mahi. Service can be big or small, but regularly thinking about others and doing what you can to make a positive difference all adds up to make our school and our community a better place.
