Girls’ VI

The James Hargest College Senior Girls’ VI participated in the Bates Cup for the first time in many years on 22 February at Hamilton Park, Gore. All twelve girls played with enthusiasm and real passion for the game. The first match was played against St Peter’s College, Gore. The highlight of this match was the outstanding bowling by Jenna Monighan. The second match was against Gore High School. A particular mention must be made of the fantastic fielding and bowling of our team and stand out batting by Caitlin Connor. Again, Jenna Moynihan was also dangerous from the crease. Unfortunately, we were beaten in both matches but the last match went down to the last over and really could have gone either way. All in all a fantastic day of girls’ cricket!
