French trip to Akaroa

French trip to Akaroa

At the end of Term 3 a group of senior students who learn French from James Hargest and Southland Girls’ High went to Akaroa to experience some French culture. During the two days there, the group visited the Giant’s House, the local museum, a cheese factory, Riverstone Castle and also took photos of French related objects. The students also did some activities in French and ate French styled meals, including escargots. Although they were not able to go to France for their reciprocal exchange, this was a great opportunity to experience our French culture in New Zealand.
