Girls' Rugby - Under 15 Girls'

The Under 15 girls’ rugby team travelled to Dunedin to compete in a Highlanders rugby competition. This is the second year the competition has run and the Hargest Girls’ represented the school well on the day. Earlier in the term the girls finished runners up at the Southland Under 15’s and last week finished 7th out of 14 teams. Taylor Evans captained the team and was dominant in the tackle; she scored four tries in the final game against Central Southland College, securing a last minute 22-21 win. One of the highlights for the girls was to meet some of the World Champion Black Ferns. James Hargest College thank NZRU for their support in transporting the girls to the tournament.
