Two Hargest Year 13 students have recently returned from exchanges to Kyushu, the southern most island of Japan. Brianna Nally spent five months on a Ministry of Education funded Language Immersion Award through AFS. She stayed with two host families and the highlight of her trip was attending school. Thomas Hawkes spent ten months on a WYS Exchange and as he is half Japanese, he stayed with his grandparents. The highlight of his trip was participating in the breakdance club at school. They both had an amazing experience and their Japanese improved a lot during their stay.
