Kumagaya visitors

Kumagaya visitors

On Monday we welcomed students from our sister city - Kumagaya, Japan. This is the 27th visit from the Kumagaya City Hall, which has allowed students from several schools in the city to experience life in New Zealand during their brief exchange.

While only here for a week, our visiting friends are packing a lot into their time. Their visit will include home stays, meeting Mayor Tim Shadbolt, visiting a local farm, rock climbing and cycling at Stadium Southland, a trip to Queenstown, a Powhiri at Te Rau Aroha Marae in Bluff, as well as experiencing classes at James Hargest with their new Kiwi friends.
