Play It Strange Who Loves Who NZ Music Covers Competition

Play It Strange Who Loves Who NZ Music Covers Competition

Well done to The Terrace, a four-piece Year 11 Band comprised of Ailin Pekar, Aiden Hosie, Blake Humphrey, and Jackson Jones (all Year 11) who have just been selected as finalists in the national Play It Strange Who Loves Who NZ Music Covers Competition. They are the only entrant from Southland to be selected as a finalist this year and only the second ever selected from Southland since the competition began in 2012.

The Terrace made the Top 10 and feature on the album as Track #9.

The Who Loves Who Competition is a chance for Year 9 to 13 students to celebrate New Zealand music by recording their own unique and evocative interpretation of a New Zealand song.

This competition is Supported by a Music Grant from Recorded Music NZ. All the entries are listened to and judged by an experienced panel.

All finalists (The Terrace included) have had their tracks mastered by Chris Chetland from Kog Studio in Auckland who masters tracks for many of NZ’s top artists. The tracks have been released on the Who Loves Who Competition album: https://playitstrange.bandcamp.com/album/2020-who-loves-who-competition.
