Congratulations to all swimmers who took part in the Southland Primary and Secondary Schools’ Swimming Championships recently.

Amazing results in the Year 7 and 8 relays with James Hargest winning all four relays; the 100m Mixed Medley, 100m Mixed Freestyle, Girls 100m Freestyle and Boys 100m Freestyle.

Well done to Liam Devery, Rhianna Short and Daniel Sinclair who gained places in all their races and a special mention to Amelia Black who placed first in all her races.

13 Year Females:

Mollie Olphert: 3rd 50m Butterfly

Talia Stout: 3rd 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke

Tegan Strudwicke: 1st 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle

 

13 Year Males:

Jade Johnson: 2nd 50m Breaststroke

Regan Cross: 2nd 50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle; 1st 50m Breaststroke

 

16 and Over Males:

Jack Corkery: 1st 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle

 

15 Year Males:

Jacob Blomfield: 1st 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle; 2nd 50m Butterfly

Daniel Strand: 1st 50m Butterfly; 2nd 50m Backstroke, 50m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle

 

15 Year Females:

Samantha Britton: 2nd 50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle

Caitlin Kingsland: 1st 50m Breaststroke, 3rd 50m Backstroke, 50m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle
