Tina visits China and Mongolia

Tina Wei spent 10 days at an International Summit Camp in Beijing and Inner Mongolia in July.  13 students were seleceted  to take part from New Zealand, but Tina was one of only two from the South Island.  The purpose of the trip was for young people from around the world to form global relationships and enhance their understanding of other cultures. 385 people, aged 14-21, from 28 different countries took part.

 

Tina got the chance to experience a lot of Chinese culture and visited famous places such as the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall.  In Mongolia she also got the chance to watch a Nadam show (Mongolian Talent show).
