Athletics – NZ Championships

Huge congratulations to Will Brown who won the New Zealand Under 16 Boys High Jump title at the NZ Championships recently. Will cleared 1.75m to win the title, in a Personal Best effort. He then had to go directly to the Long Jump event, where he gained a great 5th placing overall. Well done Will!

Football

Exciting news! Samuel Sheppard, Zachary Tull and Oliver Milne-Wahren (L-R) have been selected to attend the Under 16 Super Cup Northern Ireland football tournament in July. This tournament has players and clubs competing from all over the world and is an amazing opportunity to play against the best of the best.

Kids’ Lit Quiz Southland regional final

Three Year 7 and 8 JHC teams competed in the Kids’ Lit Quiz Southland regional final at Maruawai College in Gore. Congratulations to all three teams for their performance. A special congratulations to Aanya Shankar, Lachlan Arthur, Liam Templeton, and Walter Gibbs who placed first and have qualified for the National Final in Wellington.
