On Tuesday night our Year 9-13 Choir Ancora performed at the Big Sing Regional Final at First Church. Their programme was well received by the audience and the adjudicators and they received a Highly Commended Award – the highest grade you can be given at this level of the contest. Of the 200+ competing choirs in the regional contests across the country, 60 will be selected for the area Cadenza festivals (held in the Upper North Island, Lower North Island and South Island) and National Finale. We have our fingers crossed that Ancora is selected once again to compete in the South Island Cadenza in August.
