Senior Campus Volleyball

Competition details Trials are held for the A teams. Students are allocated to their teams following these trials. Games are played at the Stadium on a Wednesday after school.

Students sign up for Beach volleyball in their playing pairs. This competition is held on Mondays after school, at the Beach Volleyball complex in Forth Street.

Teams play in the SSS Championships and in the SISS Tournaments. Trials are held for these teams. 
Cost  $38.00 per player for each competition.
Other requirements i.e uniform or equipment Juniors play in their PE gear.

Playing tops are issued to the senior students.

VOLLEYBALL 

The School Volleyball League is a school-based League for students from years 5 – 13. 

This League is the largest with around 70 teams playing at ILT Stadium Southland every Wednesday during Terms 1, 3 & 4.  Volleyball South has multiple grades on offer to suit all our players. They pride themselves in knowing they have a safe and happy environment where players, coaches, managers, referees, volunteers, staff, whanau and friends feel welcome.

COMPETITION STARTS – Wednesday 10 September, 2025 (The season will run for six weeks)

COMPETITION DATES:

  • Week 1 – 10 SeptemberWeek 2 – 17 SeptemberWeek 3 – 8 October (Travel teams – round robins)Week 4 – 15 October

    Week 5 – 22 October (QFs, SFs, round robins – travel teams)

    Week 6 – 29 October (Finals – travel teams)

Registration –   $ 44 per individual 

If you are paying by cash please PAY AT THE SCHOOL OFFICE by placing it in an envelope marked with your child’s name, sport and Student ID.

Students cannot be placed in a team until the fee has been paid.  If this is not possible please contact the Office Manager at execjunior@jameshargest.school.nz to arrange a payment plan.

The competition takes place on Wednesday afternoons at the ILT Stadium Southland, Invercargill. 

Games will be played between 4 and 9 pm. 

The season will run for six weeks with the first round being held on Wednesday 19 February.

The cost for your child to play is $44.00, this fee covers the cost of registration, a team ball and a contribution towards a small gift for the coach/manager (if applicable). 

Please register by Friday 22 August.

Students will wear their James Hargest PE uniform when playing. The draw can be checked at the Volleyball Southland website: www.volleysouth.org.nz, 

the Sports Google Classroom and the Sports Office Noticeboard

It is important that teams have a manager so if you are available to help this would be greatly appreciated.
