Over the Christmas break, 21 students had the experience of a lifetime in Vietnam on their World Challenge Expedition. Two teams travelled all over the country for an entire month, exploring cultural sites, bustling cities and quiet tribal villages. What made this trip different was the students were in charge of the budget, finding accomodation, sourcing transport and deciding what to do every day. During their expedition both teams engaged in an Acclimatization phase, a Community Project phase, a Trekking phase, and a Rest and Relaxation phase. Team Vang (travelling South to North) had their emotions challenged at the Hoi An Centre for the Disabled and Elderly, while Team Do (travelling North to South) spent a week interacting with street orphans in Danang. Experiencing both Christmas and New Year in a largely Buddhist, Communist country is certainly a memory we will never forget!
