Ollie Wilkinson is a talented musician and writer whose sense of fun shines through in everything he does. As a bass player, he provides the rhythm and backbone in ensembles like the Southland Youth Jazz Band. His passion for music extends to his involvement in the School Production, not only in the orchestra but also on stage. Beyond music, Ollie has a gift with words, which he is utilising to help promote Arts Week at Hargest. A vital member of the team, he is thrilled to be part of bringing this exciting new tradition to life.
Emily Blyth is the powerful voice behind many Arts at Hargest. She is the choir captain of Ancora, section leader of Cantabella and vocalist for the Southland Youth Jazz Band. As well as this, she is an extremely talented performer, participating in many different kinds of musicals and stage performances. Emily is enthusiastic to be a part of the team organising the first-ever Arts Week at Hargest.
Mrs Joss Beadle is the Head of Learning Area, The Arts at JHC. This role encompasses the areas of Visual Arts, Dance, Music, and Drama. Previously Head of the Visual Arts since 2007, she is delighted to be working with the group of talented students on the Arts Week at Hargest team. Mrs Beadle always makes the Art Department feel warm and welcoming, and she always helps her students create to the best of their abilities.
Amanda Henderson has many talents within the arts sector. From singing in choirs, to acting on stage, and even dancing, Amanda does it all. On top of this, Amanda has been running the Interrobang Team this year, making sure everything is going smoothly. Amanda is very excited to be part of the Arts Week at Hargest team and looks forward to seeing her planning come to life during the various events throughout the week.
Lachlan Calvert is the mastermind behind Arts Week at Hargest. Lachlan is an extremely talented musician, most notably playing the Baritone Saxophone in the Invercargill City Jazz Band and the Southland Youth Jazz Band, as well as enjoying much success within various Chamber Music groups. Lachlan is excited to see his idea come to life, and you’ll be able to hear the deep rumble of his saxophone ringing out throughout the week
