|Performance details||The Contest, the largest and longest running chamber music event of its kind, acts as a springboard for musicians and composers of tomorrow, encouraging participants at all stages of their musical development, to perform together and enjoy the thrill of making music.
With an impressive legacy, the NZCT Chamber Music Contest remains an important feature of New Zealand’s musical calendar for secondary school students. It has played a part in the journey of many of our country’s musicians, and long may it remain a source of inspiration and growth to budding musicians everywhere.
|Cost||$20.00 per student per ensemble for the Regional Contest|
|Other requirements i.e equipment||Open to all orchestral instruments. Ensembles are formed and run by HOD Music and Itinerant Music Teachers. Weekly rehearsals.|
